  • short time works #2: interior for 10hours

    hi
this is again a fast interior : all done in 10hours.
thanks to my friend ed sharing his chair model and some objects model.
rendering time is about 6 hours at 1600x1067 reso.
    but rendering was unlucky...many misfortune.

again design is not my work.
so all crits are welcome for cg work

    looking nice giraffe

the exterior is quite blue sky but inside it is rather pinkish,
is it because of color bleed from the floor tiles ?

what type of color mapping did you use ?

        A beautiful render.

The only thing is, with direct sunlight coming in, you wouldn't see reflection on the window glass except for things very close to it. But if you do away with the reflection, then it doesn't look so much like glass! I think the eye wants to see reflection where it wouldn't be in reality.

I just want to repeat all of the above, especially the glass reflection bit from Frances.

I say you have a good eye for lighting and your work is always excellent.

                  Very nice like always Giraffe!.
The only thing I don't like is that the frames in the windows look like the wood veins are in the opposite directíon, dunno how to explain.

                      thanks for all replies
stellar: pinkish color is from brick vault at the ceiling and the floor material... so they form such pinkish color. that is the case in real life too.

frances: thanks u r right about reflections, totally agree with u!
and honestly speaking I made that on purpose just as u said: sometimes physically incorrect look more rich than physically correct.

percy, evelyn, kippu, ipraiseg: very very much thanks

molok: dont worry-I understand u r correct... when in a hurry I always sacrifice from uvw

Beautiful work! Only thing is I think it diserves a little more contrast which can be added in post of course.

                          Great interior!!
                          The light is superb

                          Did you use Ir+direct computation?

                          Color mapping?

                          thanx

                            I used irmap+lightmap
                            color mapping is exponential.
