  • Automotive test environment

Here is a small test I created recently. I think I will be using this as a testbed for the cars we get in the future.
Grass is Foret Pack of course, using the same principles as in this acient multiscatter tutorial: http://www.peterguthrie.net/blog/200...utorial-part-1
Some assets from the Megascans are in there, mostly leaves and twigs. HDR in the background was taken close to our office. The wall in the background is only there to hide the seam between grass and HDR.
Only CC in VFB, no post used. Make sure to view in full res.

Damn dude! this is really really nice! I couldn't believe this was cg! and the grass too. Very well done! Are you using vrscans at all? The wheels are very well made also. My only comment would be the mirror could use sharper reflection of the world. Otherwise excellent!

Yes, forgot to mention: Materials on the car are VrScans where possible. They are unbelievable!

I agree with Morbid!! The only thing that jumps out to me is the planar quality of the clovers (and who really cares?). Looks great!!

sweet work! funny enough the only thing that jumped out at me was the unfinished render bucket behind the rear bumper in the last image
          Cheers,

Are the grass models part of Megascans? I would like to see it with a soil texture beneath. Excellent work though.

Still the best grass I've ever seen is Marek Denko's on his NoEmotion short... https://vimeo.com/25317960

No, I only used some textures from the Megascans for the grass blades. There is some ground beneath the grass in this case, but it kind of moss.
