  • Dreamscape Test: Windpark

    Hey guys...
    Loooong time, no Post.
I finished work at Lichtecht and do "Zivildienst" now. That's a social service men have to do here in Germany when they don't want go to the Military.
I work on a Playground with lot's of Kids and fresh Air. It's very much fun but i do miss the Fulltime 3D work a lot.

Well... long story short. I did some things in the last months. One thing was this test here with Dreamscape.
Actually i just wanted to test how it works now when Vlado fixed the Dreamscape - Vray Issues... It works great!

Textures done with Max Unwrap, Texporter and Photoshop.

Actually i wanted to post this later after i reworked everything a bit but i have to do different things now. I'm working on my second Character Animation. (See Avatar)
But i can't post any Stuff for now cause there is no Vray involved yet.
    regards

Hey nice job Sascha. The textures are really nice.

We had some heavy winds a few weeks ago and on a trip to San Francisco I noticed that some of the older wind turbines had toppled over and there were cows munching around them. I was hoping that none of their friends were squashed

Looks like yours are much safer.

        Nice image Sascha. Welldone.

It is a nice concept - munching cows squashed from a wind turbine, Jon.

Vince, is this you on your avatar? creepy...

Nice work Sascha, the texture work on the last two are great, although at the bottom of the main shaft the map looks like it could be streched a bit and looking a little blury

                    Very Nice
I know its probably not that important at this stage but it looks like 80% approx of the turbines have their blades as the same orientation.

                      Thanks guys for your Comments.

Let me tell you something about the original Idea of the Scene.
I'm planning to do a futuristic hightech City for a very long time. I want to make it as realistic and believable as possible. The Idea is that after Oil is running out in the 21st century, man must use every possible energy source available. Including large offshore windparks where they're possible.
However, late 22st Century, major breakthrough's are being made in Fusion reaction technology which brings large amounts of energy at practically no cost. It's the new "Oil" on the horizon. Within a few years almost all the alternative energy sources became obsolete. They become victims to erosion and finally break down. This is the time the film will play. I wanted to begin the film with a flight through a rotten windpark until the City will appear out of the dust...

As for the critique. Yes, it's all right. I just don't have the time to work on this right now. You can be sure i will get back on this when the time is ready though.

Sascha, - you have thought all the mankind's future through, ah? Fusion reactors, rotten cities, 22st century ... nice concepts!
