this is an old file that I resurrected . trying out light map in 146.10 and making an attempt to get a better undertanding of the settings.
there is some photoshop after the fact, some noise and sepia.
    comments and critiques welcome.

Love everything except the materials on the lamp. Are you using any falloff for the reflections? Maybe a little blurry reflections would help too. Should there be some sort of fasteners on the shade?

        Gael,
        thanks

        Jon,

        thanks,

your talking about the body not the shade? no fall off, your right it needs work.

the way I designed the lamp is there is a steel loop that the shade sits on. gravity is holding it. Does that make sense? maybe I should backlight the lamp or turn it on to have the metal structure show through. ( I drew the lightbulb as well even though you can't see it, I might not be well)

I like it, like it was said, reflection too strong on lamp shade. I think noise is a little too much. But my opinion, but i still like it a lot!!
