Here is one that was fun. I need to start asking about neighboring buildings. I have had a few projects over the last several months that needed extra buildings modeled, which wasn't anticipated. You know, "can you zoom out and show it in context?"

I like the feel and the lighting but I would take another look at composition. You probably don't want to show the other building and center it more to avoid having to model the other one or comp it in, but your image would benefit a great deal more from it.

You would think, but there is a large honking tree right in the middle that they want to show it.

The left building is new and I do have the other building to the left modeled. It just doesn't show in this view. I have a version centered, with and without the tree. With the tree looks odd and without isn't what they want.

Tree looks nice... is that a maxtree? The bark texture looks good. Does it have displacement on it?

It's an evermotion tree. I detached the leaves and deleted them. Yes, it's using displacement.

Wow, if it wasn't for the stationary running man, I would have thought you blended your building into a photograph! The realism of that tree is incredible.

That poor dude always gets the smack. Evermotion Trees 154. I got permission to remove the tree and go for a straight on shot.

You just have to wait until he's out of the frame to take the picture, lol

Yeah, I guess I should kick him to the curb.

I got permission to move the tree, so here are some updates. He wanted large and imposing so the only way I know how is to lower the camera.

How cool is this? An action to turn renderings into hand drawn renderings. (http://bobby-parker.com/architectura...tal-watercolor)

Nailed it Bobby - the only thing that sticks out to me is your downspouts cutting through the trim. Seems the spouts should step out a tad just below the trim, then step back inward below the trim. That's a cool action - I'll have to check it out!
