Here's one of a series of illustrations I created for a range of protein yogurt smoothies Click image for larger version Name: Views:	1 Size:	355.8 KB ID:	966753

The client was very specific that all of the components be created in 3D (I still haven't worked out why!) so it gave me a chance to try and make a fully digital strawberry, something I've attempted in the past but never achieved.

It's 98% modelled in zbrush (the leaves are basically bent planes with opacity maps). I recorded a timelapse which covers a lot of the sculpting process, although not all sadly.

*edit* Having a really hard time getting youtube to embed proerply, so here's a link to the video : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OE3x7z9wVFY

These strawberries need eyes and smiling faces
    Thanks for sharing the process!

Very cool! Love watching process videos like that. I wonder if the reason it had to be entirely 3D has anything to do with mis-representation concerns? It would be impossible to replicate that shot with real food, and they don't want to be caught using fake food. Perhaps being entirely digital, it skirts those concerns? Regardless, thanks for sharing your process video. I'm constantly amazed by all the modeling tools I know nothing about.

        Great job as usual.
Only one thing I think, could be better, the leaves are a little too similar. A few different shapes and different maps would have sufficed to break this similarity; it is more obvious on the leaves than strawberries
        Anyway, great job !
        (Sorry for my bad english)

It's an interesting theory, but I don't think they would have even considered that! I think, from a few things they said, that it was a resolution issue as they didn't know how big they needed the final artwork so I think the logic was, if I worked it up in CG, I could render it as large as they need it (to a point).
