I'm no expert but looks good to me. You may want to just adjust your materials a little. For instance the grass is a bit bright for my tastes. If you go to the bitmap slot and adjust your RGB value under output. That seems to be a good way to tweak individual materials when the overall lighting is good.

It's a good start. However it is too dark for me.
You can look at this topic http://www.chaoticdimension.com/foru...pic.php?t=4916

Your shadows are too soft. From the Sun as a very distant light source they should be very sharp and crisp.

the softness of the shadow depends on the time of day and the quality of atmosphere. usually hazy days have softer shadows.

Shadows are never perfectly sharp there is alwas a gradient at the edge (or penumbra, the dark part of a shadow is the umbra) which is caused by other light sources or in an exterior shot, the skylight and it's bounces. A good rule of thumb (as pointed out to me by Seraph135) is on a typical day the penumbra is about 1 inch per ten feet the shadow falls from the object.

i think the light looks great for the shadow side of the house (im not master either). is this linear or HSV exponential?

will look good when you tweak the materials, put driveway in etc. All of your materials are flouro looking, so either tweak individually as suggested above, or else try changing the saturation value from 1.0 to say 0.8 in the vray GI settings

shadows and light bouncing under the eaves etc looks perfect! what are your GI settings? (second bounces etc).
