This was done as a little test to improve my rendering skills for animation. The footage was filmed with a Canon 5D Mark III using a 120cm camera slider mounted to a tripod. The shots were then stabilized in AfterEffects and tracked in Syntheyes to acquire the camera movement. Scene was lit with a corresponding HDR shot on set. Rendering in V-Ray for 3dsMax with slight depth of field and motion blur. Rendertime about 20 minutes per frame.

Writing about the CG integration I can say that the lighting is OK... the 2 main aspect to improve, in my POV, is the gound reflection of the car and the accuracy of tracked cam movements because sometimes I can say some "car sliding"...like a mismatch from real cam movements to CG cam.
The car is really good as model and shading.

Very nice! At first glance, I would have thought it was real, however, the lack of ground reflection is a giveaway.,Bobby Parker
