  • A slow rendering - interior Wip

Hello all, this is my last interior rendering test, it's take too long time(25 hours) I have stop the render and send you the result...(it's take so much time to render the carpet)

    C&C are welcome.

    Configuration : Athlon 3200+ 512MO rendered with viz/vray 1.46

Also post your bitmap filtering settings for the rug map and displacement settings.

        the carpet looks excellent though!

I think your stonework needs some displacement as well (more time)

im getting the same render times using similar settings to you in the end i've resorted to lowering the GI settings which will mean you loose some shadow details in the ceiling. It looks like the light isnt getting into the recesses in the cabinet so maybee you need more second bounces or else another light source.

id chamfer some corners. What modeller did you use? ArchiCAD?

        good work

BTW: for that resolution, your GI settings are too high IMHO

          Thank you paulison

Yes I have apply a dispace to my stonework,...I use viz for modeling, some objects are comimng from the Dosch 3D - Furniture (a Dosch that I have just received).

the resolution used for my rendering was 1800x1000, What GI settings are appropriate for this type of scene?

your scene looks very good but maybee you can lower the GI settings a bit and see if it helps with the speed? -4, -2 may be quicker but i wonder if you will notice the lower quality

carpet looks awesome but i think it is because you have such a small scale for the noise that is making the geometry huge and slowing things down

Hopefully other people (who know more) will offer some suggestions. Looks really great to me though

ok I will try to render the scene with -4, -2.

Do I have to Change the HSph subdivs and Interp. samples too?

                Hi Zahir !
Maybe could you try another AA, Adaptative QMC for instance.
Have you changed anything in the QMC Sampler ?Treshold ? noise ?

For the 2D Mapping, you may try to change 512 to 256 or less if you see
any difference in the render time and over all on the quality of the displacement.

IN this resolution, "Medium" is quite strong.I usually use presets to render,
I don't really understand the concept of basic parameters.I didn't look at it very closely indeed.I don't have time to experiment that but it will be necessary one day.

                Anyway, nice render !
                Très sympa la dedeuch !
