  • 1953 Fiat 8V Supersonic

I recently came across the model of a 1953 Fiat 8V Supersonic with bodywork by Ghia. I decided to render that car.
The grass was made with ForestPack, the wall in the background is a combination of 3D models from Evermotion scattered with ForestPack and some brick textures with displacement. Everything behind that wall is coming from the environment background. All images are lit with a single HDRI. The renders are straight out of the framebuffer. I only used basic color correction from VFB and the "Phototgraphic03" LUT that comes with the installation of the Corona Demo. Please make sure to view in full resolution.

          Looks ace!
although some of those blacks are hiding the detail hidden under...lifting them just a little might do the trick

You mean the areas in the wheelarches and under the car? Sadly there is nothing to see there, because the model doesn't have any details in that area.

Did you create your own LUT file? Or was it one available on the net? Sorry should read the message....

I used a LUT from the Corona Demo. I mentioned the name in the first post I believe.

I am using the Roundshot with the Nikon D800E and a sigma fisheye lens. Once you get used to the quirks of the Roundshot (setting the system up for the first time and finding nodal point etc), it is quite convenient to use. You will need a really good tripod though, as the whole assembly can be quite heavy. With some extra steps, the output is comparable with a much more expensive Lizard Q.
