Montgomery Wards Building

My Montgomery Ward Building historical reconstruction is coming along nicely. The story goes, the building above the 11th floor is gone and they covered up most of the detail on the base. There is no known high-resolution image of the existing building, so I recreated it from low-resolution newspaper clippings. My image will be used for a huge mural in the interior lobby, which is now high-end luxury condos. I still have some work to do, but so far I am pleased. The final will look vintage, hence the aged look.

That is a very cool project to be involved with. What you have shown looks super nice. Maybe the sky could be even more atmospheric/dramatic like a Hugh Ferris with sunbeam glow?

Thanks, I thought so. Maybe it'll be used for something other their lobby. I'll try some different skies.

These guys literally sent me new drawings with dimensions and everything. I told them that they are way too late to the table; I sent them three gray-scale proofs without any mention of drawings. All I got from them was low-resolution photos. I am not sure how I am going to handle this one.
