Im working on a couple of things right now so i used this part of the plan that is not part of the actual work to work on them. One of my problems that I am hoping to get a better grip on, is when doing a rendering with glass in the windows. I think my images suffer without them. i hid the glass, and so to my eyes i cant see the reflections that i know should be there. I have been searching the post and do see a couple of posts refering to glass but havent quite found one exactly for this particular thing yet. maybe i need to look more. In the meantime I'll just post this.
Oh and I am using VRAY Basic, so i cant use the vraylight, nor can i save the Irmap. so doing the calc first then unhiding the glass doesnt work for me. Any critiques or comments are greatly appreciated. Thanks to natty and Fran for the help on clarifying the whole glossy and shiny thing. im addicted now!
Oh yea i know this background sucks for the image, but i wanted to put one in there and i did it in photoshop

its weird. the outside images actually look like pictures stuck on the wall.

the settings for the vray render setup, or the settings for the glass?
remember, i hid the glass, so the glass is not in there, but i do usually put a material on the glass, even when i dont render it. so maybe i will just show that and see.

The window frames look strange. I would tone them down a bit. It looks like you have some light leaks along the upper left wall.

The interior lighting needs to be brighter. With the amount of windows, mirrors and lights in the room it should be well illuminated. One small note, baseboards along the walls.

          More Work In Progress

Well here is an update to the model. I am still not happy with the window area AT ALL. But for preview purposes, it works, but for once i want to successfully have the background and the window glass like it is supposed to look. Any Takers?

          Again the glass is hidden.

Comments and critiques are greatly appreciated.
