Which version of V-Ray are you using? This should be fixed since 3.60.02

Are you on OSX or Windows?

noel.warren konstantin_chaos Any idea what can cause this?
When I first reported this issue before 3.60.02, Noel said "color_tex_alpha_as_transparency and linear_workflow seem to conflict somehow".
        Here is my original email:
Open the Skatter library, and load "Trees 01" as Proxies.

It contains V-Ray 2.0 materials. They were converted fine up until 3.4.

Take a look at the material named "skatter_leaf_01_base". Now in 3.6, "Diffuse Map Alpha as Transparency" has no effect, even though it's checked.

Alternatively you can open directly "C:\ProgramData\Skatter\Library\skatter_tree_01_pr oxy.skp", but the texture paths contain "SKATTER_LIBRARY_PATH" which is being regexed when loading the component through the Skatter library, to ensure proper paths on both Windows and OSX.
This was fixed in 3.60.02, it works fine for me since then. But the issue is still happening for robD.

in the asset editor the Skatter material render correctly in the preview and 'Diffuse Map Alpha as Transparency' is checked

                (apologies for the late reply)
If you haven't contacted Support yet, please provide a simple scene (use Pack Project) together with the an illustration of the render result you're getting from it. You can address it either at support@chaosgroup.com or send me a PM.
This alpha texture problem should not be occur with the latest V-Ray and Skatter builds.

                Kind regards,
                Peter

The house looks cool. Since this is small building a perspective correction would be good ( I mean the exterior shot ). Usually, vertical perspective is used to underline the scale of high.big buildings. Also, the DOF gives an impression that this is not a real scale building, but some kind of maquette.
                  Cheers

The material plugin used for the leaves is an older one which is not supported on GPU CUDA. To amend this, do the following:
                      - create a new Generic material
                      - add the same leaf texture (make sure you set its color space to sRGB)
                      - turn on the material's Opacity > Diffuse Texture Alpha toggle
                      - slot the new material it in the leaf 2-sided material

                      Alternatively, render in CPU.

                      Kind regards,
                      Peter
