    Hello!
I haven't posted any commercial work for a while so here it is .
On going project that I am working on ..I did till now 6 options for it with iteration for each one so you can say I can't look at it any more
here is the last option I did it is not something that I would add to my portfolio, but technically it was challenging so I though I would share it here .
the challenging part was to make the wall pattern fully procedural as the client didn't have a very specific design and wanted to have full control over the shape..I ended with a long list of modifiers to make that possible =D.
it is all controlled as you can see in the second image with a shape and a map for distribution and the tiles shape/ width /height can be changed easily too using normalize/extrude segments and quad scatter modifier.
    best regards,

Woooh ! Very good trick ! Nice job !
it's always a big challenge when you have to work with a client and its uncertainties, its inaccuracies..

I would love to sera more about all these modifiers ! Is it possible ?

    Anyway, congrats M.Max !
    (Sorry for my bad english)

Yes, good job. I hope you were charging for all those iterations.

        Thanks guys!
rikou it seems that it is rare to find a client that actuly know what he want exactly but i like these challenges to be honest
The funny thing that I did explain one of my modeling course about almost the same technique just a few days before receiving =D the onlt new thing was the data channel modifier that I used as a work around for vol.select bug.
I will upload the file later here so you can take a closer look at it .

        Sure I do ! =D
On other hand and at some point it is not just about money, but that you lose the interest of the project and things start looking boring .. I think after al these years I still consider my work as a hobby not as a business and that what make it hard for me

When you have a dozen active projects and deadlines up the wazoo, that one client can muck everything up. I have one job that has been going on for six months, every time I get through an interaction there are literally 100+ more comments. I finally started charging them after iteration 12. We are on 16 now and I am about to charge them again.

Totally agree with you, it's a great satisfaction when you find the best way to do what you have to do with a lot of flexibility !
Thanks a lot for sharing !
