  • realism study (movie scene)

For last few weekends I was trying to create most real render based on movie scene I saw (Door In The Floor)

    here is movie scene

    and here is my render

I know that I could do much more but uh...it's time to say that's it and move on
Render time: about 6 h for vrmap and 9 for final render.
for this scene I used new color mapping (intensity exponential) becuase with other it was really hard to achieve this kind of light as in movie.

good render. i think you just need to warm the lights up a little bit and get rid of the crisp edges.

Cool. Sun should be hotter - and need a fill light for the foreground.
What AA filter did you use? Maybe more fuzziness there too.

Why did this take 6 - 9 hours?

I used catmull-rom AA. It was really hard to get sun hotter because when I did it i got too much light bounce on next wall. 6 - 9 hours...well AA took this time because I had problems with those details in front.
