my next workstation will probably be a threadripper (3?) but im doing initial research now.
i expect ill go for 128GB ram.
ive read conflicting reports on ECC ram.
on many forums you will see people stating that the more memory you have, the more important EEC becomes, as errors creep in. , and with 128GB you really need it for stability.
however here, ive seen most people seem to use non-EEC ram even for 128GB configs.
given its slower and costs more.. is there a benefit for our line of work? how do these "errors" manifest.. i dont want a crashy machine.
