What is the safe procedure for removing the dongle from the USB port? Can you just pull it out or must you end some process (like you do on a normal USB flash drive) before removing it from the port?
Before I upgraded to 3.7 I would manually launch the license server using the V-ray 3 icon on my desktop, insert the dongle and then do my 3D work. When I was through doing 3D work I would manually stop the license server using the v-ray 3 icon on my desktop and then remove the dongle from the USB port.
Now that I upgraded to 3.7 it automatically launches the license server when the maching boots so I can no longer start or stop it like I used to. The icons are gone.
I do not want to just leave the dongle in the machine all the time because I use it with 2 different machines and I also do lots of other work on these machines besides 3D. Only a small part of my work do I use 3Ds max and the rest is video editing.
