Hi, I'm looking to buy a new iMac to increase speed and quality on my interior design models. I would appreciate any good advice for the right setup (video, memory, processor) aiming to get a good enough machine not necessarily best performant option. Thanks!

Wait for the WWDC in late June, maybe new hardware will be announced. For the specs it’s easy, get the best you can afford. iMac CPU are not stellar for multithreaded tasks so at least get one with a high turbo, this will help in most workload, to get raw power for final render build a Windows box with a AMD CPU to be used via DR.3D Scenes, Shaders and Courses for V-ray and Corona

Yes, you’ll need to buy and assemble all the components, then you can save quite a bit provided you can build and manage the system by your self. On the Mac side all you need it’s a fast editing machine, and an high end iMac will be good for that.3D Scenes, Shaders and Courses for V-ray and Corona
