I'm about to purchase a new machine for home as a general all rounder. I had a 2990wx before this that has been horrible so i wanted to check with some of the helpful and tech savvy people here first:
I use 3dmax, vray cpu / vray gpu, (if its a small memory project) redshift, phoenix, adobe and blackmagic products. pretty standard.
I also want to have enough room for 2 x 3090s so the motherboard is main consideration given they look to be 3 slot atm and will require some kind of cooling solution..
CPU 3960x
MB - ? something for 2 x 3090s ideally with 10GB onboard
RAM - 64GB or 128GB (if it can run at correct speed) of something QVL matched to MB
SSD - 1-2TB x 2 drives, system and working. Samsung PCIE M2 (gen 4) QVL matched to MB
PSU - Corsair AX1200i 1200W Digital Platinum Power Supply
CASE - Fractal Design Define R5 Black ATX Case
CPU cooler - Deepcool Castle 360EX CPU Cooler
Any ideas, pointers or experience very welcome
