Previously, with my 1080 ti's it wasn't advised to connect GPUs as SLI, but now with RTX 3090's what is the recommendation by Chaosgroup ?

unless things have changed, connecting the 3090's via nvlink is a very good idea.. you can share their ram and have almost double your gpu ram available for scenes.
