Hello, this is my first post. I hope I'm in the right topic
I mainly work with 3dsMax 2020 SP3 + Vray 5
and start to use Vantage more and more for my greatest happiness
I am currently working with a DELL Precision 7910:
2x Intel (R) Xeon (R) CPU E5-2660 v4 @ 2.00GHz 2.00 GHz
WIN10 PRO 20H2 19042.685
64.0 GB RAM
1x RTX 2080 TI
My PC is working less and less well (a lot of slowness of all kinds)
So, I would like to change it quickly, but it's an obstacle course to find a good configuration.
I have a budget of around € 15,000.
What would you advise me?
I identified a German assembler (AIME) which offers a T500 model.(available in a few days)
https://www.aime.info/shop/product/a...0-workstation/
With the possibility of putting 4x rtx 3090 or 2x RTX 6000 (to stay in my budget)
Will Vray or Vantage really take advantage of these 4 GPUs?
Should we add 3x NVlink in this case?
I've heard that Vantage doesn't take advantage of more than 2 GPUs ... is that true?
Do you think this type of setup is enough to work comfortably
and smoothly with Vantage and have a good FPS for scenes like the vantage competition one (KD3D)?
For now, with my actual PC, i have about 10-15fps (720px) or about 5fps (1080px) performance with this scene
Big big thx in advance for your answers
