hi, I´m planning on a new computer, and I packed up this specifications. I did not put a video card because I have one that I could use.
coud any one of the experts advise on my setup?
I would ditch the ssd's and put m.2 drives directly on the board - wicked fast
edit... never mind, looks like thats what you have spec'd
you will not be disappointed with that 3990x and the m.2 drives. I've been running off one as main workstation since november. Working locally on stuff and backing up on the network. used to literally scream when saving/opening 1gb + max files that now read, write and render almost instantly
hi, I chose m.2 drives. 1 connected directly to the motherboard, and 4 aditional for storage (raid 0 ?) thru a pci express adapter that comes with the motherboard. Or did I choose wrong?
do you have any advice on cooling? If I overclock, do I need to upgrade to AIO?
You can have 4 m.2 drives on the mainboard. Why not use something like the Corsair Force Series MP600 Core 4TB
For data and the 980 for windows. Our just 4x 980. Less clutter in the case.
and I would get a bigger power supply to be on the safe side for 2x 3090rtx.
