yeah so incase anyone tries this, make sure the heights of the multiple cards are the same otherwise nvlink isnt going to connect, unless anyone knows otherwise?

Different cards will have different heights, except the ones that use the FE PCB (very rare on the newer beafy cards)
There are no flexible bridges around as far as I know.. you will need 2 matching cards for NVlink (unless you know 2 cards that use the same PCB, so they will be the same height)

I didn't know it. I really had luck to get a second card with the same height...
yeah i could had got an identical card but chickened out at last minute because the other bidder was clearly buying for mining, so instead I got another and had this problem...why they dont make flexible cable versions when they know most cards are different heights is a bit annoying//. I mean the gigabyte 2080ti and the gigabyte windforce version are different height for crying out loud
