Hi all, i have a very outdated PC (details below) and thinking of budget friendly ways to upgrade for better render speeds and overall workflow. The system i have does get the job done very well for what i do and i can't complain, mainly stills and rarely small animations for exhibition/interior designs but i'm starting to get into the higher end interior viz stuff.
ASUS P9X79 pro
i7 3930k 12 core
32gb RAM
Quadro M4000 GPU
I am a bit of a noob when it comes to the tech but gradually getting more savvy with it. Would for example, an i9 9900k with compatible motherboard & RAM be worthy upgrade on a very tight budget? These can be had for £300-400 used.
Can i use the rest of my PC with it, i know i'd need DDR4 RAM. Much of a difference in render times?
