  • workloads on CPU - GPU

I have a Ryzen 9 5950X and RTX 3070Ti. When I render in CUDA mode the work load during rendering is as follows: CPU about 7% and GPU about 4 - 6%. In my old pc the CPU ( Intell 5 with 4 cores) the work load was 99 - 100% with CPU rendering.
How can I increase the work load on the Ryzen 9 up to about 95% so rendering goes faster?

Task Manager is not the best at showing GPU utilization, I recommend a 3rd party tool like GPUZ or MSI AfterBurner

Make sure you are on the latest 496 Game Ready drivers, they have important performance improvements for V-Ray GPU
And in device selection, you can check C++/CPU, this way both your CPU and GPU will be used in rendering. This will give you a nice performance boost, as your CPU is fairly good.

If you have more questions, let me know

HI Muhammed, thanks for your advise. My MB is Asus X570 Creator and I use Asus MB software to monitor everything and double check with CPUID HWMonitoring.
I installed the 2 drivers, Game Ready and Studio for the GPU.
At first I didn't see the option c++/cpu. When you hover over CUDA you only see GPU. But when you check it and then click on the 3 dotted settings icon then you see the 2 options to check, CPU and GPU.
I rendered with this setting and see a small performance increase. At least the cores are engaged for 100%.

I'm glad you got it working, and in V5 this should be faster, with many additional GPU features
