    Hey Olaf,

I have been using this CPU since day 1, it has not been a great experience. DDR5 memory is very expensive, and very rare.. impossible to find 128 GB kits, 4x 32 GB and it doesn't offer anything better than DDR4 performance wise
Also the power draw is nearly double that of the 5950X, which means you need a good board for the 12900k around 400 to 500 Euros (also boards are expensive and rare) and a good cooling solution
The 5950X is very efficient on rendering, you will be totally fine with a 200 Euros board like the B550 Tomahawk.. and doesn't really need an extreme cooling solution

Now about the Single threaded performance, the 5950X is great. Out of box it goes above 5 GHz, I have been using that for more than a year and I'm totally happy with it
The 12900K is faster on single-threaded, a tiny bit faster that you would really need to scientifically measure the differences in Max

Sadly all 3 are not great, I would go Ventus or Palit Gaming Pro if you cannot find anything else.. I talk about the good GPUs in this post
