  • Video Card Issue

I started this in another thread, but it got highjacked .

I have two 4090s, and they both worked for a few weeks. One card stopped. I tried every cable combo and thought I figured out it was a card cable. NVIDIA sent me a new cable for the card, but one card still doesn't work. Again, I can plug everything that works into the not-working card, which then works. There has to be a Windows setting that got switched with an update or something. I don't see any BIOS video card settings.
    • I swapped PS cables
    • I swapped VC cables
    • I swapped slots.
    Do you have any ideas?

Some dumbass didn't plug the new card cable into the video card. It was the video card cable, and we are up and running! If anyone else has this issue, the cable is a known issue.

I'm glad you got it solved!
FYI not plugging the cable all the way in is dangerous and could have the power cable melt. There should be no side panel or other components putting pressure on the 12VHPWR cable

When I first started investigating, I found the plug plugged in fine. There is no sign of damage, so it must be internal. From what I read, the video card cable that comes with the card has been known to be faulty. NVIDIA replaced mine free of charge.
