It's happened to me if the GPU crashes or runs out of resources; it was very bad with one of the first OpenCL drivers. Since you have the 295, you can try running V-Ray RT only on the second GPU.

    Best regards,
    Vlado

Mario, I also experienced these errors on GTX 295 a few months ago - using another GPU based rendering solution

It might also be worth checking the temperature of the GPU; if it overheats, it will tend to do strange things.

i have installed the GPU observer.... http://blog.orbmu2k.de/
the temp. goes not higher then 80°C
the fans are going to full blast... i think its the same load as when i play a game....

but @ the moment i can't render any scene with the GTX 295.... after 1 or 2 updates.... (1-3 secondes rendertime) the rendering stops.... error -5

vlado... what do you need for bughunting.... the dump file only... or the whole scene... `the dump file... and machine specs....
it would be helpfull when you post a sticky thread with the things you need from the beta testers for bug hunting....

ps. 10 years ago i was beta tester on finalRender.... they used a very well bug hunting system to manage the bugs of the community....

We have a 295 card here, so if you get me the scene I'll give it a try. We actually have two 295 cards, but one of them (I think it's an Inno3D card) is very buggy and has the same issues as you describe; the other card is rock-solid though (I think it's an Assus).
