In the screen you're showing, your not using a VrayCamera - looks like you're trying to render the perspective view.

yes perspective view, so it works only with vray camera right ?
PS : well still no active view with vray camera too , dont know whats wrong ....

I have an 8 socket 48 core AMD opteron 8439 2.8ghz system, I can run some benchmarks - if someone wants to post a particular file to test. I tested scaling before on an older 8 socket system with 32 cores and vray didn't scale well above 12 cores.
But it probably worth running some new tests again.

Always better to have comparative tests from actual renders, but I've found www.spec.org cpu2006 test to be pretty close to reality how CPU's are scaling.
If I compare fp rate numbers with backburners performance index its dead on for the four different Xeon CPU's we are using (all machines are 2 cpu with 4 cores each)
And I think most of the CPU configurations available is included in their results.
But Our Opterons is unfortunately not close to performing as good with Vray & Max as they do in the CPU2006 benchmark.
But from reading this thread it seems like maybe its a optimisation / compiler issue.
Edit- Does not work at all with 1 cpu 4 core numbers, Just tried a X3430 which performed terribel compared to the fp rate numbers from SPEC, so maybe I was just lucky before -/editLast edited by ealanger; 02-11-2010, 02:41 AM.--------------------------------------
