Real Difference between Pciex16 and PCiex8 ?

Hello,

When using 3DSMAX Viewport and/or cuda rendering, can we see a difference between a CG card in 16x Pcie and in 8X Pcie ?

I would like to do the test myself but i can't.

Any infos about the real difference in real working world would beeing appreciated
