  • Vray Standalone has stopped working

    Hi there,

I'm currently working in a scene where I have VrayRT GPU that crash. My RT CPU does work verry well, but GPU version in still crashing no matter what i'm doing.

Is there something that I could do ?
Or do I have to start deleting one object after another to see with-one is making the problem ?

    I'm using Vray RT 1.90.01

    Thanks

    Stan

Does it work on a simple scene? Did it work before?

    Best regards,

      Yes,
I have cleaned to the basic my scene and put a normal gray vraymtl and my gpu is working fine.

May be is it related to the fact that I have used proboolean in the scene, is it possible ?

      I keep looking

Woaw, I just have something very strange, I found that's something texture related.

I'm have open my scene, select all and put a white vraymtl, it render nice with cpu and gpu version.
So I reopened my scene, selected all the materials in the slate material and the compact one, and deleted all.
Lunched the cpu version and worked fine (as before) and lunched the gpu version.
I had the same error as on the top of the post, and I started to write here that I founded that it was a texture retalted problem, and then, boum, my activeshade came up with the rt render.
So now, I have active shade that does work with gpu, but I have the "close the program" window just there, and I imagine that if I click on it, it will close my activeshade or the vray standalone program.

I will try to find with texture make the problem

          Hi there,

I have found the problem that made that the stand alone crached...
I had a multisub mtl (2 sub-materials) with the same material in the 2 sub-materials.

I have now another problem :
When i'm do a render, the render starts and after a few seconds, rt crash and is going crasy
I have done some screens to understand. evga precision tool show my gpu rendering at 99% and when hi is dropping and going crasy, the gpu runs at 13-15%

You can try reducing the ray bundle size/rays per pixel parameters and see if it helps. Also make sure you have the latest drivers and that your GPU(s) are not overheating.
