2 gpus working at 50%...

hello,
here i have a test system based on 2 machines:
1- p45 motherboard, q6600@3,2ghz cpu and 2 gtx 460 2gb (non in sli mode)
2- i7 920@3,8ghz cpu with 1 gtx 460 2gb
if i use 1 gpu i get performance 100
if i use 1 gpu + 1 gpu via network i get performance 200
if i use 2 gpu in the same system i get performance 100, using msi afterburner i see they working at 50%...

Yep, I can reproduce this issue here. It seems to be driver-related as it works fine with older drivers... looking into it now.

Can you try the older drivers - 258.96 and let me know if they work fine? Make sure that you delete the *.clbin file in your temporary folder before running V-Ray RT with the changed drivers (otherwise the RT render server might crash).

with 258.96 all my gpus work at 100%

I will test this too.

Iam a little bit nervous what about GTX 580, you cannot install this driver cause it has no support for gtx 580. Or is this problem related only to 2-core GPUs?

It seems to affect only multiple GPUs in the same system. There is no problem with a single GPU.

ok, with 258.96 i can finally post my test.
4 gtx 460 2gb (stock clocked 700mhz) are 20 times faster than i7@3,8+q6600@3,2
not bad at all

Yes, but for propper results, You have to test 4 of this i7 procesors . Four this graphics board is really expensive.
I have two GTX 295 graphics board at work, so I test it when boss order upgrade.
Now Iam going to try this 258.96 driver and hope my GPU GTX 295 will not work at 50%.
But I selling this board and buying GTX 580 next week.

you must delete *.clbin file from temp directory after a new driver install!

Its done and its working great !!!!!
GPU usage of both cores is now about 90%!!
Great!!!! It has been driver all the time.
But what is so bad about the newest driver?
