  • low-price notebook for rendering

Ok, I drive a lot and yet have to work at the same time. Need to buy a laptop for visualisation purpose. I've got only 900Euros for that.

I know that ram is important but want to know sth about new v-ray rt gpu rendering solution. As I looked at some earlier threads it is important that the gpu supports cuda. Are there any other hints I should know about?

Or even more straight - is there any laptop at this price I could buy?

    Thanks in advance...

    Hey

U need to look for Nvidia based laptop... at the moment untill ATI is suported for GPU rendering

In mean time best buy I advise u to get dell 17'' they let u customize it so it should do the trick. U can get quad core i7 and so on...

for 1.5k u can get a really good gaming laptop that will have nvidia gtx4xx series 8 gb ram, quad from asus - very good price/system specs

however the ultimate laptops is making http://www.eurocom.com/

they can even stick xeon in ur laptop and OC it... so when u ready go for eurocom

Their barebones come from Clevo, ive had 2 laptops with them, they have all turned out great. U can put any of the corei7 processors in them up to 12gigs of ram and dual 460m cards even 480's but thats to much $ =P

Just got the g74s this week. so far very happy, although Max 2012 won't run properly on it just yet (crashes badly) it runs 2011 fine, and Photoshop. Very nice screen, very powerful. I'm happy.
