Maybe I'm missing something, but I've set the engine type to "openCL(single Kernel) and set the production/active renderers to VRT. Is there any other area that I need to turn on to make the GPU's work?

yup I've restarted it many times, as this is a new computer and I've been installing all kinds of software and such since adding the GPU's.

It normally shows all the OpenCL devices that it finds (the code is very similar to the OpenCL device selector too so it would be strange if one is working but not the other) and additionally it will print a lot of stuff about devices and such.

I just noticed that the "select openCL devices for vray" showed this error when I set it to use a single GPU:
failed to update the openCL devices to use.
Yep, that's why I said you may need to run it with right click > Run As Administrator...

when I set my engine type to OpenCL, shouldn't that force the GPU's to run? My processors are getting pinged out with this setting. I guess if it can't find the GPU's then it defaults back to CPU.

If the render server cannot find OpenCL support, it will fall back to CPU...

but if the GPU's are working then I shouldn't see the CPU's getting pinged, correct? also shouldn't I see the devices being loaded in the RT render server? is there any tags in the RTrender server I can use to see if the GPU's are active?

Yep, correct on both accounts. However from what I could understand, the RT render server simply does not see the GPUs... not sure why. Another thought - did you register the V-Ray RT render server to run as a Windows service (doesn't look like it, but I thought I'd ask - if you did, it might be part of the problem...)?

the RT render server is currently not set to a service. Edit:
I just restarted and open services. VRayRTspawner is set a service and so is VRLservice.

Ok then; can you email me to vlado@chaosgroup.com - I will need to send you a slightly modified version of V-Ray RT that prints out some more information about what is going on.

                        Best regards,
                        Vlado

Can someone post a pic of what my V/RT render server is supposed to look like with multiple GPU's recognized with latest build?
