  • dongle lock recommendations?

We have 8 Vray licenses on 2 dongles on a remote server. We have frequent interuptions, have to call IT, wait while someone goes to see what's wrong, etc. I think it would be better to have a dongle on each user's machine, but they have to be locked to the machine -a 3dsMax dongle was stolen years ago, and we had to buy a new license! Does anyone know of a good solution for locking 1 dongle? maybe you have a completely different solution? Thanks.

    uhmm, SuperGlue?
As long as stuff in an office isn't physically restricted with bolts and chains, at some point it will "migrate"
    Kind Regards,

OK, we'll call that Plan B. I am asking about how to physically lock a dongle. Alternatively, how does Chaos Group feel about software emulation of their dongles?

I don't see any interruptions really here, so i wonder if you have some general network issues?

Other than that lockable Cases with an internal USB port ?

Yes, we have network issues because it's a huge company (12,000+ served by this network) and they make frequent changes without telling us and so we get interruptions.
