gpu access to main memory over pci express

from what i can remember, gpus can use some main memory if they dont have enough onboard when running directx games.. is this possible with rt gpu? it would remove one of the most annoying bottlenecks of rt on a gpu, even if it gives a speed penalty.

This is all handled by the GPU drivers; if they support this capability, then it would be possible.

That sounds great Vlado but ...DO ANY CURRENT drivers support that????? or has this been prommised by card manufactures for future release??

Is it also true that the way GPU's chips are currently designed they will never be able to do certain types of maths calculations that are required for them to support ALL that the vray production renderer can do???? Or can a GPU do everything a CPU can do & it just more time needed to impliment everything into a GPU version???

This would help me understand the future of VrayRT GPU as a production renderer.
