It's not bad actually - seems to be faster than a 580, although not exactly twice as fast.

The 590 cores are clocked at 607MHz as compared to 772MHz for a stock GTX 580 so a 590 is not twice as fast despite having two GTX 580 cores on it. However, the performance scales perfectly in line with clock speed and number of cores.
The 3GB RAM is actually 1.5GB, as each cores has access to only half of the total 3GB...Comment
