  • VrayRT Crash with GTX 560 TI and Geforce 8800 GTS

    Hi there,

I was working on a GTX560Ti and I wanted to start using my gtx to render RTGpu intensively while I'm working.
So I decided to install a old GeForce 8800GTS as my main GC and have the gtx only for RT.

Everything works great, but when I'm changing frame in max (animation) I have the drivers that crashs.

    Screens grabs attached.

It works fine with just a plane and a teapot, but not with my scene here.
I tried to merge everything in a new scene to try to clean as much as possible, but it doesn't change anything.
I updated the drivers 2 times, I was on the 285.xx before, now with the 290.xx and still the same issue.

Any ideas if we can mix Geforce8 cards with GTX cards ?

ps : before everything, I did chose the Open CL devise as the gtx.

    Thanks

    Stan

Apparently it is not a good idea to mix cards of different generations. Although it should work in theory, in practice the drivers get confused at one point.

I only act like I know everything, Rogers.

All right, well I will continue as now and restart max when it crashes. I will try to find another card to fix the problem

      Thanks
