How to install vray on amazon cloud?

Hi,

I would like to know if anyone know how to install vray on the amazon cloud and get access to the usb dongle on our workstation?

I saw this video showing how to install max and render with backburner for only 0,50$ by computer:

I know some people are selling kind of ready-to-go amazon cloud package, but they are taking around 400% percent profit, but all I need to know to do it myself is how to install vray on amazon...

First you need to make port 30304 of the computer that runs the V-Ray license server visible from the internet and the outside world. How to do this depends on the particular setup of your internet connection and your system administrator could help with that. For security reasons you might also want to change the outside port number to something else. A VPN is not necessary, although it will be an additional layer of security.

Then, after you install 3ds Max on the Amazon virtual machine image, you need to install V-Ray and point it to the public IP address and port number of the license server. You can do this either at the end of the installation, or by going to the Start menu > Programs > Chaos Group > V-Ray Adv for 3ds max > Licensing > Administration > Change V-Ray client licence settings. That's all. We've done it a number of times already and it works fine.

The whole procedure is not any different from setting up a home machine to use a V-Ray license in your office, for example.
