  • Vray RT GPU on Remote desktop computers

    Hi there,

I'm trying to setup all the gpu of the renderfarm up and running with RT Gpu.
The rendernodes have GTX560Ti and are working great sometimes...

A lot of times, I have the RT that automaticly switch to CPU.
This is the message that I have got on the rendernodes...

"NVidia Display settings are not available when using Remote Desktop Connection."

So what's the trick to be able to use RTGpu and still have access to the nodes in Remote desktop?
Because, otherwise, I have to restart all the nodes and not login to Remote Desktop to be able to use RT Gpu...

ps : is there a way to start RT in cpu mode only, so that I could do hybrid RT accross the network ? some nodes in cpu, the others that have gpu use both cpu and gpu and my workstation, only cpu (eaven if I have a card to do GPU) so that my scene doesn't lag...

    Thanks

It won't work through Remote Desktop since in that case, virtual graphics drivers are used which do not implement CUDA/OpenCL. It will work if you use VNC or LogMeIn.
