7 GPU configuration - will this work for GPU-RT

    my arhviz scenes are pretty huge, so it's useless for RT as it just takes TOO LONG. But the odd time I tested to see if it actually works on SMALL THINGS, it does work. I set it to GPU and render and it is fine.

    That being said, I'll have to check though to make sure that GPU usage is on 100% when I'm back at work

      heh, what has nvida and dont has AMD(ATI ) ?? open cl is ok for both cards , vlado what you think ?

        If you must buy right now, I'd go for the 3GB 580s. I noticed that they have come down in price since the 680 came out...other than that, things seems to be moving quickly so it might make sense to see what the best bet for GPU rendering will be with the new kepler-based stuff that is coming out...

          I did trade them for 3 x 3gb 580's actually. that way when the 3gb or 4gb keplers come out they dont bottleneck the memory. in fact last night I used almost 3gb In a render so I recommend anyone considering gpu rendering to not to get the 1.5gb offering.
