  • Dome Light with Arch Interiors

    Question for you RT guru's!

I have an interior scene I'm running an animation across (4) 680 4GB GTX's. I started with plane lights and got decent results, however on some shots the noise & grain is just terrible.

So I hide the ceiling, light fixtures and turned off the plain lights, added a dome light and kept the sun for shadows, suddenly the noise has dramatically decreased! nice for shots were I don't show the ceiling.

Now I'm trying to figure out if there is a way I can turn on the ceiling and fixtures and have the dome light omit those objects and light up the scene, basicly make these objects invisible to the dome light but render in the scene.

I'm currently running at 2min a frame at 720p 1000 passes per pixel.

    Any Idea's?

Ambient lights lights don't seem to work in GPU RT.

        Hi,
Can you post some render examples or a stripped down version of your scene?
