question to NAS users, how to use it for 3d work best ?

Starting as a backup device, we now use our DS-211+ ( 2x WD 1 TB Caviar Black, RAID1) as our fileserver. (max,bitmaps, plugins, the whole office stuff, etc) attached to our AD, Works like a charm. If you have a second DS, place it somewhere outside the office for daily syn->syn (incremental) backup. Much cheaper than some sort of online Storage subscription. Stuff runs smoothly for over 2 years now. (Note: at both places 100/100 Mbit fiber) So yeah... you can drop anything on it

What about using ssd for project to save time on backup and save while using the nas for texture and all other asset?
