GPU wont work

After a while I start RT GPU and it didnt work, even the information window didnt pop up. So I reinstal graphics card driver to newest version, delete .clbin file and everything was perfect. But it was yesterday. Today start it and information window didnt pop up either, so RT GPU didnt work. I delete clbin file again, but it didnt help. I really dont want to reinstal graphics driver every time. Where could be a problem when even information window didnt show up?

I have max 2013 x64, VRay 2.30, nvidia GeForce GTX580 and driver 306.97.

First of all, use the CUDA engine. Second, you should see the V-Ray RT server command-line window pop up - it should print any errors.

Do you have VRayRTspawner running as a service?
If yes, try to stop it and make another try with RT GPU, you should get the console window pop-up.

No, VRayRTspawner is stopped.
I reainstal VRay and nvidia driver and now information windows is shown. It creates clbin file, but active shade window stays black and GPU usage is 0%

You are right, when information window doesnt pop up, stopping VRayRTspawner will help. But still I can see only black and weird thing is that clbin file is generated after 2 seconds, which is impossible.

Can you post a screenshot of the RT console window?
Did you try Cuda engine?

Hello,
I install different nvidia driver (older) and now it works. But its weird because earlier everything was fine with newest driver.
And I take notice when I use CUDA, RT didnt work and after that information window didnt pop up. And then for OpenGL too, but after I choose CUDA. That was with the first (newest) nvidia driver. With this second driver I rather dont use CUDA so far.

Thank you for the update on this issue.
Glad to the hear that Gpu is working again.
I can recommend to use the current driver, because Rt GPU sometimes has problems with the latest one.

Hi, which version do you suggest to use with OpenCL? I've got some freeze with the latest nvidia drivers and I want to try another one, but it would be great to have some recommendation.

For nVidia cards I would strongly suggest to use the CUDA engine.

Right Vlado, I changed the words, the question is: which nvidia driver version do you recommend to use with the CUDA engine?

I don't have any issues with the 306.97 driver, but on the other hand, they keep changing them so quickly

I've got a notebook with a GTS 360M and RT crashes using CUDA with the 296.10 driver, I'll try the 306.97 and see if it works.

The 306.97 driver didn't work, does it help if I send you the erros files shown in this message?
