  • CUDA on Ati/AMD with VRay 2.4

    Hi all

With the new VRay 2.4 where CUDA is faster than in 2.3 and also since OpenCL is slower and anyways still not 100% working on ATI/AMD, is there any point in choosing and Ati card today?
Can you use CUDA on Amd cards or is it purely an Nvidia thing?
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

AS I know, AMD doesn't support CUDA.
But I'm curious how about 'AMD card for viewport and Nvidia card for Rendering'. Is that a possible?

That's a very interesting and important question

As far as I understand, the 7970 beats the 580 when you're looking at viewport only. Which is partly why I'm so dissappointed that the OpenCL thing isn't working, otherwise it may have been a better allround option
