I will have to ask; I know that Lon tested a bunch of the new cards, but I don't know the exact performance numbers.

I might be able to get hold of one to run some tests. Been testing the 690 recently so I will be able to give a like for like result.

On the subject of benchmarks has the results list been updated at all? I posted a few render times with the 690 but I have never seen them added to the results list.

        I probably missed it

We need a new chart for V-Ray 2.40 though, as it is a bit faster than the old version and the old chart can be misleading a bit.

          GTX 690:

          V-Ray RT 2.30.02 - Driver 306.97 - 1m 39.4s
          V-Ray RT 2.30.02 - Driver 310.70 - 1m 39.2s
          V-Ray RT 2.30.02 - Driver 310.77 - 1m 39.8s
V-Ray RT 2.30.02 - Driver 310.90 - (didn't make a difference even though the NVIDIA driver update said it would :/. It did however improve iray by about 10%)

          V-Ray RT 2.40.01 - Driver 310.90 - 1m 31.5s

          I haven't tested Driver 314.07 yet.

Looks interesting!...I may pick one up for my main display driver. View port lag is my worst enemy in large scenes...but at twice the cost of two 680's seems like a lot of cash for not twice the performance.

                  Hey, JamesCutler,

did you test RT GPU in CUDA mode? 2.40 has really speed up in CUDA compared to previous release!

Yes, that's another thing for the benchmark - it is set for OpenCL, but now there is a significant difference between OpenCL and CUDA.

                    Best regards,

Yes all tests were completed in CUDA. The 2.4 update knocked off 8 seconds.

A lot of test are out, but unfortunately no one has tested it with Vray yet - but in this benchmark here: http://www.anandtech.com/show/6774/n...nce-unveiled/4

the Cuda performance is about 3 times higher than the 580... !

Vlado, can you tell if this is a good indication of it's performance in RT?

Yes CUDA performance looks to be stellar in the Titan - Vlado - any reasonably strong predictions for RT performance over a 580/680?

This would be amazing if true, but I would be a bit more cautious until it gets into my hands to test it (which is still a couple of weeks away as no-one sells it here yet). Remember that the GTX 680 also performed very well in some compute tests, but not so much for raytracing.

My own experience with the GK110 chip is with a pre-release version of Tesla K20X, but I don't think it is very indicative of the GeForce Titan performance.

                            Best regards,

I only got an engineering sample from nVidia, so I don't know how close it is to the actual shipping product.
