  • GPU: Asus vs Sapphire vs Gigabyte etc - GTX670

    Hi all

    I'm considering the GTX670 2GB (possibly the 4GB version)
    But now there's a gazzillion different ones to choose from. Is any make better than the next? Will an extra 2% performance between brand make any difference really in the bigger scheme of things?

    This will go into an Asus P9X79, 3930 and 32GB ram...
    Kind Regards,
    Morne

    It depends... sometimes its about warranty and customer service something about other things... basically from what I remember

    ASUS = stability
    EVGA = OC/performance/Warranty....

      Yep, Dadal pretty much has it.

      I almost always buy EVGA due to the warranty and the performance boost.

      As for memory, I wouldn't buy anything with less than 4GB. It will help future proof yourself a little bit when you get into more GPU rendering. Every little bit helps. Hopefully it will save you an intermediate upgrade for that very purpose.

          I would suggest getting 6 gb Titan its a lot faster and better than 580 and 680 series.

          As to 04g-p4-2673-kr it appears to be good. Remember u need to register EVGA card within a month of purchase to get warranty from EVGA + u can buy extension for few ££ I got mine 5 or 7 years warranty if I'm not wrong.

            Yes I would like the Titan, but locally its about 2.5 times the price than the 670.

            As for the registration and warranty, I don't think we have such luxury in SA, but will check with my supplier...
