H80i Cooler - fit over RAM Heatsinks?

Hi all

Did anybody manage to fit their H80i cooler over their HIGH Ram heatsinks on a 2011 board?
I still can't find any more info on this or exact pictures showing me that it does work. I did some rough measurements, and I can't see how it will fit, even though my supplier tells me that it will fit (they just want the sale it seems)

The corsair vengaence is out of stock here and no ETA on it, next best thing is Kingston HyperX Predator, but that stands 53,9mm high which seems even higher than the vengeance!

I dont know what you mean to be honest. The tubes dont go over heatsinks? What is it ?

Im talking about the two 120mm fans that are attached either end of the radiator of the h80. that gets mounted at the back of the case above the usb and sound ports etc of the mobo. the radiator and fans stick so far forward that it goes over the last two or three ram modules

Aaa wow. Yea thats tricky... what about putting the radiaor in different place? Or maybe using just 1 fan(put other on outside of case?)

I'm only using the one fan, admittedly its not the stock fan, their too noisy!!

Yes this sounds like a good idea. Tricky also mentioned they had to put their 2nd fan at the bottom of the case to make it fit...

Yes I'm going for the 3930K, but it doesnt come with a stock fan, although apparently you can buy the stock fan seperately

Seems my supplier can only get vengenace 1600Mhz RAM Modules "right now". The faster options doesnt currenlty have an ETA

Will I still be able to OC my system with these 1600?

Sorry I wasn't clear, I'm using a H80 cooler with 1 fan but not the fan/s that came with the H80.

Yes you can oc with 1600.. Ram will stay at 1600(unless you can OC it too) and CPU will go higher.
