    Wondering when edges text will be available for RT GPU? I use it a lot in the bump slot to add highlights to edges and would be great to have it working in RT GPU as well.

    Hi,

    Our developers are working on full support for the Bump slot in RT/GPU, but it will take a while until it's finished.

        Another question: Is there any news on supporting procedural maps? I thought it was included but just rendering a scene now with a noise diffuse and it does not show up

          Yes, this is not working in the current builds.

          As Vlado said in one thread, we have implemented procedural noise on the GPU for quite some time, but it is disabled since it caused the whole rendering to become slower.
          Latest tests are showing, that this issue is more or less gone, so probably we are going to enable it again.
          Other than that, you should be able to "backed" it (use explicit uvw for that), but the be honest I haven't test that any soon.

          p.s. Edges Tex is not supported on the GPU yet.

                YAY! like soon? I use this in almost all my architecture materials and now that composite and displacement are supported I'm getting exited about RT again!

                      Haven't seen it in the change logs or new features so I'm guessing not.

                      Needs TBC though.

                          I love that this works with the new SP3 but flipped normal render black, it renders fine on RT CPU though.

                            Support for V-Ray Edgetex map on RT GPU is added for the next service pack release.
                            To be more precise we will support it as a diffuse map.
