  • Nvidia Titan Driver Issues.

    Hello,

I built a new machine this weekend and did a clean OS Install. Once I loaded Max and V-Ray I did some GPU RT test, it would immediately crash, even rendering a single box. I ended up having to roll back to an old driver to get RT to work "NVidia Driver 320.18"

I've always have had stability issues with GTX Titans and RT...I just though it was my overclocked gaming machine, but the problem still persist on my new set up.

    Workstation Specs.
    Asus Z9PE-D8 WS - Dual 8-Core Xeons.
    32 Gigs of Ram
    (4) GTC Titans.
    1500W Power Supply.

Which is the crashing driver version? We have to install it here and see what happens.

    Best regards,

The latest driver I see on NVidia website is the 332.21 WHQL driver. There are some later beta drivers.

Ok thanks. I've sent an email to nVidia to ask why that error might happen and what it means in that particular place; I will let you know as soon as I have more info.

            Best regards,

Can you try 332.50 ? It seemed to fix the same issue for another Titan user.

Can you forward me the download link...I cant seem to find it on NVidia website, not even under Beta.

                Thanks!

Hmpf, I'm starting to get a little lost among all the driver versions myself... 332.50 appears to be a Quadro driver; the user had a Titan+Quadro combo. In that case I'll report a bug and let's hope that the issue will be fixed for newer drivers.
